Cmon, i know we're all thinking about it. :)

Everything dark with a simple torch lighting effect simply revealing our way, and re-covering the map behind itself in darkness instead of worrying about drawing layers and what not.
Simply have everything automatically Dark for players, and maybe just allow us to draw lines on walls to block light. When you walk into a room it would automatically block vision outside of room and you as a player would only have visibility on the map of the inside of that particular room.

I think THAT would add some suspense. Just imagine D20pro's setup with that kind of light source system. :)

They're working on it actually. The current fog of war is actually a stop gap between the old FoW and Dynamic Fog of War (what I've come to understand is the 'official' term for the style of FoW you're talking about).

Just want to add my voice to the crave....! :)

I have used d20Pro for over a year, but have recently started looking at MapTool, entirely because of its line of sight/light source controlled fog of war feature. I *really* want this in d20Pro, and the über-cool lighting effect of the light sources shown in this early demo video for 3d virtual tabletop: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imCxys5wT0Q.

For me, currently the battle stands between d20Pro, MapTool and 3D Virtual Tabletop. None of them have *all* the features that I would like, so the contest is still undecided. If only...
