It's not really a white window, I suspect your firewall is preventing the app from phoning home, which is how it displays the content of that white area.

I notice you have 1028m commented out, which is good because the allocation should be 1024 or increments of 1024 for mb. Then on the non commented line you have it set to 3G... try the default.

    start .\jre\bin\javaw.exe -Xmx512m -Dsun.java2d.ddoffscreen=false -Dsun.java2d.noddraw -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false -jar d20Pro.jar

see if that works, before fiddling with it?

Do you have UAC enabled on that machine... SInce d20pro loaded just fine (white screen), it's no longer a java issue.. the firewall or UAC stopped the new pane from displaying, and most likely UAC killed the app..

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/922708
    see also https://www.raymond.cc/blog/task-scheduler-bypass-uac-prompt/

Also it would be worth trying, bypassing the news panel and logging straight into the app with these switches.

    start .\jre\bin\javaw.exe -Xmx512m -DAutologon=true -DApp=DM -Dsun.java2d.ddoffscreen=false -Dsun.java2d.noddraw -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false -jar d20Pro.jar

You probably DO NOT want to remove UAC, just make an allowance for D20PRO to run.

So, goto the D20PRO install folder, rename d20pro.log to something like d20pro.log.bak.
Launch d20pro with now working batch file. hit show/hide
please post the d20pro.log file here.

One last thing to try, create a new campaign.
-- do not select a ruleset, just leave the ruleset field as <none>.

that should test if it is a dataset issue and remove that as a possibility.

launch d20pro from the working batch file, post the log.

I agree with kril. The errors you're seeing above are related to only two topics:

    1. the removal of the slf4j logger (we switched back to standard log4j).
    2. missing classes.txt and/or spells.txt files in the <app>/judge/campaign/<campaign name>/res/ManuallySpecified

What we really need to know is what is happening when the hide/show button is pressed which is not included in the logs above.

I'll consult with Kril to sort out the details of your issues and see what we can resolve.

REM To change the amount of memory allocated to d20Pro, modify the -Xmx argument.

Hi @sircomac, do you use skype? I'm at the point personally where I really want to see what's going on if you're cool with it.

PM me a skype ID and some times when you're available and we can sync up.
