I sent a request to technical support, but has anyone else had this issue?

Since I updated my MacBook Pro to macOS Catalina 10.15 I cannot see any file options under the import tool for my Hero Lab portfolios. When I go to the selection process it will show my Documents, but it appears that it is blank when it is not. It will not show any folders or files under no water what I do.

    Help!

Are you referring to something in D20PRO not being able to see the .por files (for import) or in Hero Lab itself?

In D20Pro I want to import HeroLab files.

I open D20Pro and open Content Library. Then I go to Creature Library. Then I select Import and Hero Lab Portfolio. A search window shows up with my folder options, i.e. Desktop, Downloads, Applications, etc.

I select Documents and in the past it would show my files within that file so I would find the destination file such as Documents->Games->Pathfinder->Adventure Path and find the Hero Lab files there and select them and import them.

Now, however, it is blank when I click on Documents as if there are no folders in there. I search on my laptop and they are all there, but the interface on Content Library is not showing ANY folders under Documents. Even if I switch to "All Files" in the search window, it shows nothing.

I am running macOS Catalina 10.15 with D20Pro 3.7.8 and this was not an issue until I updated to Catalina so I think it is an interface issue with the macOS and D20Pro.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Edit: The same thing also happens for Native D20Pro Format (.d20_ctr) files so it is not an issue specific to Hero Lab.

Then I would suspect it is something to do with file permissions on/of the OS. Is there an option of running D20PRO as Administrator on MAC?

You might try toggling the 'Use Native File Chooser' in Options.

It is actually not even letting me select Native File Chooser under options.

What would that mean and is there a way to fix it?

It may not be an option for MAC. It does sound like a permissions issue. have you done the Mac Installation processes?

I'll ask Owlbear to take a look as he has a MAC.

I downloaded D20pro again (it was still 3.7.8) and that did not seem to fix it.

I am going to look into permissions for the Mac.

    Thanks for your help!

Does this from the log help at all?

It seems to have a lot of failed to execute messages since this issue began.

No, this is expected... it is part of the Steam Lobby systems and is not hooked up yet ..

Okay, I figured it out via working on a different program.

I went to the Apple icon->System Preferences->Security & Privacy->Full Disk Access and searched for D20Pro under applications. Then I added it and now it allows D20Pro to access the files.

Something in the settings must have changed when I upgraded to Catalina 10.15

I hope this helps others who have the same issue.

    Thanks!
    Mike

yep, I haven't updated to Catalina yet. So I really appreciate the heads up @Michael Clark . FYI, my wife updated and lost functionality of her Logitech mouse with unifying receiver. That happened today while i've been at the office. I haven't figured out a fix yet. I'll bet doing the same thing for the unifying software as you did for D20pro may fix that too!
