Area effect templates

    Does an Area effect template, for fire ball, automatically make reflex saves for those in the area ?
    Does it compensate for spell resistance ?

    The template is for judging area of effect only and does not do anything other than color the area it is placed upon to see who may or may not get hit by the effect.. Creating an effect or ability for the spell will provide you with what you are looking for. They are separate things within the software.

    While doing select targets on an effect if you open templates and put it on the board all the creatures under the template will be added to the target list.
