I was referred to this gaming software by my D&D dungeon master, as we may be playing online in the near future using d20Pro.

I downloaded the license and the trial software, (I'm using a Mac) and I noticed that the files in the Mac/Linux version still come up as .exe

As far as my limited knowledge goes, I thought only Windows OS uses .exe files
and I was trying to use Stuffit Expander to perhaps 'unzip' the d20Pro .zip file, but to no avail.

right now, the Mac download .zip is sitting on my desktop, and I tried to open the d20pro.exe file and the d20pro.bat file
    and it's not working.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    :)

Inside the folder you downloaded there will be a readme.txt file that has instructions on how to run d20Pro in a non-Windows environment. You will need to open up a command window, then copy and paste the command in that readme file into the command window to start the client.

If you continue to run into any trouble with this please let us know and we'll get things resolved ASAP for you. Thank you for trying out d20Pro, see you around the boards!

    Hail Guy,

Great question and we are wondering the same thing. As of right now, it will depend on whether or not it runs Java. From what we know right now, we unfortunately don't expect Java support. If there are any updates on this, we will be sure to post them.

    Best regards and happy gaming,

    Nick

:( Too bad, would have strongly considered buying one.
