External IP address

will this read the netwrok Ip or be able to find the external passed the router ?

Not sure if this problem was solved for the OP yet, but i found that using hamachi with all my friends is an easy bypass for this.

 

Yeah, Me and a buddy of mine had horrible problems with Fantasy Ground in this respect. We solved it also with Hamachi. I had no problems however setting everything up in d20Pro though. It worked like a charm.

I simply choose a port (i made it different than the default, something everyone in our group would remember) forwarded that port in my router and pointed that port to the IP of the computer I was hosting on. I then simply game him the Public IP of my router, the port number I opened and the password. Connected perfectly.

If anyone is having a problem feel free to post any problems here, perhaps I can help. I work as a network troubleshooter. Perhaps I can download manuals and help you figure out what is happening.

Sorry to necro this thread but does anyone have any tips on using Hamachi? d20Pro keeps defaulting to my public IP and I can't get it to connect using the hamachi IP address.
