Fog of War

    Using 3.6.11 and FoW is not reacting to players entering the region. I've tried all options (door, mask, wall, and edge)--none work.

    I have the option checked to have FoW react to players.

    How do I get it to work?

    I had used 3.6.11 for months and it used to work.

    Note that I have tried 3.7.1 and have the same issue. Also 3.7.1 is far too slow. Each time a PC moves my screen delays 2-3 seconds as it "broadcasts to PC."

    Those are 'Closed' walls, or solids. You need to use Open walls, or only enclose the negative area.

    So I can just select them all and make them open? I don't use lighting -- too much work and time to set up.

    Just tried it - making them open does not work either.

    I used to be able to just trace the region with FoW and it worked. That is what I need it to still do. I do not want to use masks or anything else. Just trace the area and it works when players enter.

    That's it.

    How do I get that to work again?

    Also, can't import map, it gives an error:


    Failed to import Map
    Caused by: Failed to decode XML
    Caused by: com.d20pro.temp_extraction.plugin.feature.model.ValueOrExpression : com.d20pro.temp_extraction.plugin.feature.model.ValueOrExpression.

    The error is most likely, due to me using the latest Beta build 3.7.1.10

    As to what you describe for FoW, the older Mask method.

    You would want to use Closed Passive Masks, no walls or anything else.
