    Please Help!

I have the most up to date Hero Lab AND D20Pro. When I export a Sorcerer character from Hero Lab to D20Pro, there are errors in D20Pro (Errors show up in notes or description section of the char sheet) and no spells. The nitty-gritty details are below.

I downloaded and put in place the D20Pro Pathfinder files found here:

    http://help.mindgene.com/advanced/other ... pathfinder

    Can someone please help?

I have the newest D20Pro 2.4.0 (trial--I am evaluating the move from FGII to D20Pro).
I have the newest HeroLab w/ Pathfinder ruleset (checked for updates today).
I have installed the Pathfinder ruleset for D20Pro for my campaign (found on forums there).

I created a level 1 SorcerER in HeroLab and exported it to D20Pro (hld20pro extension).
There are import errors for Sorcerer class.

1.) HeroLab is exporting to D20Pro with "Sorcerer"
    2.) D20Pro's classes.txt says "Sorceror" -- com.mindgene.d20.plugin.dnd.creature.SpellCasterTemplate_Sorceror

PART I HDL20PRO file says "Sorcerer", D20Pro says "Sorcerer"
So, I changed the classes.txt to read "Sorcerer" in all places of the classes.txt file.

Now when I import, I don't get any errors, however, No spells show up in D20Pro, nor does a "Sorcerer" spell list. ONLY Freeform.

PART II HDL20PRO file says "Sorceror", D20Pro says "Sorceror"
SO, I thought I would edit the hdl20pro output file to read "Sorceror" in all places. I make sure D20Pro classes.txt has "Sorceror". I don't see any import problems, BUT

In the Spells in D20Pro, I see "Sorcerer" spell sections AND "Freeform". Additionally, an error message is displaying in the "Sorcerer" section: "The creature class SorcerER is not installed".

NOWHERE in the hdl20pro file does it say, "Sorcerer". It's been changed to "Sorceror" by myself. SO there must be code somewhere in D20Pro that is looking for "Sorcerer" ?

Can anyone please reproduce this / offer work around, etc?

Are you using the base 3.5 rule set that comes with the d20Pro install?

    Hello!

    I installed D20Pro (newest version)
    copied the judge->campaigns->d&d 3.5 ogl
pasted it, renamed it, pasted in the replacement pathfinder files I found here:

    http://help.mindgene.com/advanced/other ... pathfinder

Can you please see if you can reproduce this issue? It happens every time for me. Thanks.

It was TRIAL version D20Pro. I'm getting ready to purchase it now, since my trial has expired. Would like to know this won't get in my way before I buy.

    Thanks

I created a sorcerer in Herolabs and it imported correctly into d20Pro for me.

Can you attach your .por file or email it to me at thecheesegrinder at gmail dot com

When you import are you clicking on d20Pro or Herolab?

I just created a brand new Sorcerer 1 in Hero Lab.
    I Exported to hld20pro file.
I ran D20Pro (just bought full), imported the file (Hero Lab button).

here's what it says in the Notes tab (AND THERE ARE NO SPELLS):

Imported from Hero Lab(pathfinder) on Jun 2, 2011

    Speed: 30
    Classes: Sorcerer 1
    spellClass not found: sorcerer

    No longer an issue

Well, I think I figured it out. After I had downloaded the PFS ruleset, I also downloaded updated classes.txt, etc, that claimed to have Advanced Player's Guide support. Unfortunately, this version of classes.txt has Sorcerer spelled as "Sorceror".

Sorry for the trouble and thanks for the help.

There was a time when Herolab was exporting Sorcerer classes as Sorceror, which is why there is a version of classes with it spelled that way. However, all new classes files should be corrected now.

Look for updated files at: Pathfinder Essentials for d20pro

I will be releasing the data set for the two new Pathfinder books (The Inner Sea World Guide and Ultimate Magic) soon!

It looks like in the classes.txt file

    com.mindgene.d20.plugin.dnd.creature.SpellCasterTemplate_Sorceror

Needs to remain Sorceror, but everything else needs to be "Sorcerer" for everything to work correctly.

Yes the following spell should be used:
    com.mindgene.d20.plugin.dnd.creature.SpellCasterTemplate_Sorceror

This is a legacy typo that has been a thorn in ourside for a long time. Hopefully we will be able to undo this in the future.
