    I'm working with Hero Lab and a custom Pathfinder Class - Spell-Less Ranger...

    The Hero Lab file for it is on the Cheese Weasel website.

    When I try to import it into D20pro, I'm getting the following error..

    Imported from Hero Lab(pathfinder) on Jul 15, 2012

    Speed: 30
    Classes: Ranger, Spell-Less 4

    Special Abilities:
    Animal Companion Link (Ex):
    Courageous:
    Elven Immunities:
    Elven Immunities - Sleep:
    Elven Magic:
    Enemies: Humanoids (Reptilian) (+2 bonus) (Ex):
    Improved Tracking (Ex):
    Low-Light Vision:
    Nature’s Healing(1d6+1) (Ex):
    Point Blank Shot:
    Precise Shot:
    Share Spells with Companion (Ex):
    Stealth Attack +1d6:
    Terrains: Forest (+2 bonus) (Ex):
    Track +4:
    Wild Empathy +4 (Ex):

    Importer Error Log:
    Illegal Class and level combo in .XML file: [] defaulting to Fighter 1
    Defaulting to Fighter

    I've added the following into the classes.txt file already.
    ## CLASS: RANGER, Spell-Less
    CreatureClass=Ranger, Spell-Less
    AttackRate=1
    GoodSaves=Fort, Ref

    If you want it.. I can upload the Hero Lab file to work with...

    I'm sure it is something small I've missed but I'm not seeing what that is...

    I'm interested in seeing this Hero Lab Portfolio.

    Can you package the Portfolio to include the data set you used to create it before you send?

    Develop > Prepare Portfolio for Distribution

    Or, include your .user file so I can check out what's going on.

    Here is the link: (This is the original file) Mine should be the same.

    http://www.cheeseweasel.net/herolab/Pat ... llless.zip

    The board is not allowing the .user extension.

    Guess I need to compress those files because it won't allow the hld20pro extension of the PC file either..

    Okay had to Zip up the files.
    Included is the Hero Lab user file I've been using.
    The character portfolio file.
    The character hld20pro dump.

    d20Pro does not like special characters in the "## CLASS:" tag. Please change the classes.txt file to the following:
    Code:
    ## CLASS: RANGER SPELLLESS
    CreatureClass=Ranger SpellLess
    AttackRate=1
    GoodSaves=Fort|Ref
    Also, an update to the Hero Lab .user file removing the comma and the hyphen from the name. Feel free to use the one I've included.

    Ed.. you might want to have a look at Wiz Spec.. in that case... it also has a comma in the class name..

    Who's "Ed"? That's only the first two letters in my last name...

    :p

    Even though you can select "Wizard, Specialist" from the classes drop-down, the import from HeroLab won't work in this case. I'm wondering if "Wizard, Specialist" is a class in d20 HeroLab. If there are more class names with commas, it might be more advantageous to modify the import tool.

    Can you check to see if there are classes in Hero Lab that export with class names with commas?

    sorry Curtis, it's an old Army thing to use peoples last name when addressing them.. It's a hard habit to break, even after twenty years... :)

    I do have several close friends who served in the military, and whom follow the last name addressing, though it's always the full last name. That said, my username is kinda deceiving... it's not my full last name, nor my full first name, nor my full middle name... it uses the same pattern as all drivers licenses in Washington State uses, and the same user name pattern the university I graduated from uses for their email system. Also, there's a low rate of usage with this user name for pretty much every site that requires me to register, so it's a user name I stuck with through the years.

    I don't mind people using my first name, last name, user name, or "Supreme Master of the Universe" :p
    If you're mad at me then you must use my full first name, followed by my full middle name, then my full last name is required to be stated, followed by an exclamation mark. :p

    Noted... I just saw the user name and well... my dads name is Edward and goes by Ed... so... hence why I did that.

    but noted for the future.

    Don't think I'll ever call ya Supreme Master of the Universe.... that title belongs to people I work with.. sometimes me when I'm talking to some people....
