    [LAST UPDATE IMPORTER - 11-27-2017]

    Hello fellow gamers!

To download the current version of the Hero Lab Native Importer, please look at the bottom of this post for the .zip file.

    [tl;dr begin]

Attached to this thread is a replacement HeroLab importer which allows for importing of the native Hero Lab .por files.

The importer should be extracted to the following directory based on platform:

    Windows/Linux:

    <d20pro install directory>/judge/addon/creature

    For Mac OS X:

    <d20pro install directory>/data/judge/addon/creature

This iteration of the plugin is not 100% complete. The following are the aspects currently importing:
    • Character name
    • Alignment
    • Type and Subtype
    • Classes
    • Stats
    • Health
    • Experience points
    • Saves
    • Character description
    • Height, weight, eye, hair, skin info
    • Situational Modifiers
    • Languages
    • Feats
    • Class Traits
    • Background Traits
    • Armor Class
    • Penalties
    • Skills
    • Attacks
    • Items
    Currently still being completed:
    • Class Variant/Prestige Classes
    • Damage Resistance
    • Energy Resistance
    • Money
    • Special Abilities
    • Spell books
    • Spell selections
    • Other spell stuffs

If you're using this importer in conjunction with the 5e Players Handbook, you can also click refresh on the Traits panel to pull down any missing traits defined by the rules.

Additionally, you can select all of the items from the items list and click "sync" to pull down rules enabled versions of anything defined in the Rules Library.

When the Pathfinder Core book goes live, this will all be available for that system as well.

Please note, the importer imports the raw numbers from the Hero Lab creature whenever possible. This means that equipment which is unequipped might have values already in the fields they'd normally effect.

For instance, with AC, Armor bonus might be filled in already -- then if you were to equip armor from the item tab, you'd end up with double the armor value. So, if you want to use equip/unequip actions, please clear the AC fields prior to doing so.

Attacks are similar except that equipping weapons will simply add another entry for the rules based version of the weapon equipped.

Here is a 5e example from the sample characters provided by Hero Lab:

    General Tab:

I manually selected Path of the Berserker and the Knowledge Domain paths for this character.

    Attack Tab:

Lots and Lots of Traits (Traits Tab):

This includes a first pass at importing background traits like Peraonality, Bond, Flaw and Ideal.

Skills get the correct Prof bonuses:

    Gear and Items (synced)

Default spell selection (open edit and just clicked OK, this isn't being imported from the .por yet)

    And finally, the GM Notes:
