    All-

Ok, I'm new to D20Pro so this may be a elementary question but when I am creating a map I try to partially paint a square vs. the full block, but I can't. I would appreciate any guidance on this as well as creating images like beds, and rotating objects to face the way I'd like them to.

    Thanks again
    Eb

Orienting objects is accomplished by right clicking on the tile, and choosing "rotate". There are shortcut keys for the different types of rotation already listed.

To paint a single tile, highlight the image you want and then move your cursor to the proper location on the map; and Ctrl-Left-Click.

If the image is the wrong size, you can resize it by right-clicking and choosing the resize option.

You can't partially paint a square as d20pro is primarily a cell-based application. We do not recommend using d20pro as a mapping program - that's not the primary focus. The mapping tools in d20pro are rudimentary and are there for when you are in a bind and need something simple. For an excellent mapping tool, we wholeheartedly recommend Dundjinni.

    Thank you both.

The painting I understand and I'll see what I can do about a mapping tool.

As per rotating, I get Visibility and Destroy I do not get rotate. Maybe it's a special option I am not seeing.

Make sure you have the latest version and that you are using the SCALE tool to place those furnishings (as opposed to the tile). Rotate should be in the right-click menu. You can also try the [ and ] keys.

Dan, for clarification, whaqt is the "Scale Tool" - I can't find a tool called "Scale Tool", and the help pages don't recognize that term. However a search these forums for how that term might be used, I can only construe that perhaps it is referring to the Drawing Tool; and specifically the tile manager tab.

My bad, it used to be called Scale - now it's Manage Tiles
