    GM + External Display:
Microsoft has a great tutorial on how to do this in XP: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/hwandprograms/monitors.mspx
Here is a guide for Vista: http://skattertech.com/2008/04/setup-multiple-monitors-in-vista/

Once you have a 2nd display set up, just run the GM client and the Player client on your computer. Drag the player client to the 2nd display and show that to your players while you look at the GM one. If you want them to have some control over the software, plug in multiple mice and make sure you all take turns. If not, you can simply move their characters for them, let them use dice, and manually apply damage or healing.

    GM + 1 Player PC
This one is much easier. Just start up the GM client on your machine, then go to the settings panel (Click on the golden Gear icon to the right) and then the Judge section. There you will see a button called: What's My IP? If you are connecting to each other locally (in person), then you will use the Local IP, otherwise use the Public IP. Give that number to the player connecting.

The player will start up the player version of D20pro, and when prompted to, type the IP address of your machine. Once they connect, you are set.

If you or anyone else would like a demo of these various setups or a step-by-step demo and question/answer session, I would be more than willing to host one. Just tell me when would be good for you!

Any guest license requires a connection to a PC with a full license. Basically, any game can have one Guest logged in at a time, but guests can't start by themselves. Think of them as that freeloading friend we all know - you only have patience for one, and he can't do anything by himself.
