    Hi Gents,

new to the d20 Pro, been a guest player but I want to now start DM'ing (especially Dark Sun) with my friends. Is there a tutorial on how to propler update the 4 TXT files (Feats.txt, Skills.txt, Spells.txt, Classes.txt) to keep up to date with the ever growning 4e. if there is a previous post that tells all, please direct me.

    Thank You

You can find what you need to know in this post:
    http://forums.d20pro.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=200

Also, if you open up those text files, you can see how they are arranged and can add more content to suit the dark sun world of D&D

    Here is a quick guide:

    feats.txt
alphabetical listing of all feats available.

    General| - no game effect
Evasion| yes/no - game effect as described with the feat
Init| -increases the initiative modifier by +4

    spells.txt
alphabetical listing of all spells available.

    skills.txt
alphabetical listing of all skills available, and it's use in d20Pro.
    Category Name|Skill Name|Ability Modifier

thx, is there more info on Classes, I want to add "Undead"

    ## CLASS: Undead
    CreatureClass=Undead
    AttackRate=
    GoodSaves=

Where would i get the value for AttackRate and GoodSaves in the 4e books?

    I'd go...

AttackRate=1. (this will give a base attack bonus of 1 for each HD/level you give to the undead class creature)
    GoodSaves=

In D&D 4.0, you'll add your saves as custom defenses, and put them in manually under "custom" on the General tab when editing the creature. If you have not already done so.. Goto the Options window and under Judge tab (I believe) is the setting where you can activate the custom defenses and put Fort, Ref, and Will as the three custom defenses (since they are static defenses - not rolled).
