May DDI update

I am working on modifying our code right now.

WotC in there vast wisdom decided to change the output some, to "clean up" the xml. In doing so they broke the way we were importing because data that was there is no longer there it is somewhere else.

the data is all there, I just need to recode the importer to retrieve the required data.

My group is standing by as well. We are slated to start a new campaign, using d20 Pro this coming Monday, May 17th.

 

Initial fix appears to be working... once we finish testing a new version will be out.

So hang in there guys, we are trying to get this fix out to ya.

 

Any ideas on time frame? Within the next couple of days or in the next week or so?

for you 4e guys I may or may not have a delightful surprise... tryign to get that done in time to release with the DDI bug fix.

Not going to say what it is just in case I cannot get it done in time. But if I do you will like the addition.

 

Do I smell a Monster Builder importing feature? Now that would be cool!

 

I will burst the monster builder importer bubble.

I am working on that, but won't be out by the next release. We are working on a rushed release so we can get the DDI update bug fixed asap.

Though the monster builder importer is right at the top of my list

 

Ok, now I am saying. I got the bug fixes for the importer in, plus the possible delightful surprise.

The 4e elemental types are in d20Pro. Yep: Arcance, Necrotic, Radiant, Poison, Psyhcic, Thunder. Have all been added to attack types, and elemental resistances. Though vulnerability still uses the 3.5 damage increase of multiplying by 1.5. In a future release we are hoping to give you the ability of saying "if I an vulnerable take X damage more"

 

Awesome. So when can we download the latest and greatest? I see we are still at 2.1.0....

 

Version 2.1.1 is still in testing right now. We have a few other features being put into it as well. We want to make sure everything works before we release the new installers. Trying to keep down on the fix one thing and accidently break something else.

The installer will be out as soon as we can get it out the door.

 

We are planning on playing our first game with D20Pro next monday. Any word on the May DDI support? If we don't get it, we will have to cancel or go back to maptools which will really suck for the DM.

 

Hang in there! Don't leave us just yet. In our testing we ran into a rather nasty error, that could hose up some maps. We do not want to do that to you guys.

I am working on getting the installer out ASAP!
