It looks like when you equip heavy armor, which means no Dex mod, if you have a negative dexterity it is affecting your AC in a negative way. I didn't look at it for the reverse (positive dexterity mod.). Unless I've misread the rules in heavy armor the answer should always be no dexterity modifications.

Could you show us a screencap of what you are doing?

Normally you would set this property on the Armor itself.

This allows for proper usage but also exception and flexibility in the system rather than hard setting the option which would handicap a lot of GMs.

I see, so a negative Dex MOd is affecting the AC LIne.

I'll ask @owlbear the best way to approach this and get back to you here shortly.

We're looking at a smoother way to handle this. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

For the short term for those specific instances of heavy armor in 5e, you can adjust offset it by using the Unnamed Adjustment to counter balance the neg Dex Mod..

We'll get a more elegant solution out into the wild here shortly to handle this better.

That's exactly how I handled it. This was a more of an FYI for the team. It's not a big deal but people should be aware of it so that AC show correctly for both PC's and Monsters, they might need to adjust slightly.
