Dropbox just announced to developers new Chooser and Saver options to allow apps to integrate directly with Dropbox, using Dropbox like the app would use the hard drive attached to the computer (http://www.wired.com/business/2013/07/dropbox).

It would be great if D20Pro could save the resources to Dropbox from the judge client then the player client could connect to that resource to download the maps and tokens. This would allow Judges to serve the game from lower bandwidth locations.

We already do this in our group, although it is not as "easy and seamless" as the reference may claim for apps. I am interested in how this would work. The method below is what we do, and this method can be set up using any cloud server, not just DropBox.

The group has a Shared DropBox Folder.
Judge Signs into his own Game and it creates the folder that all players in his game will have, it has a unique name (D20pro--->Player--->Campaigns--->alphanumeric folder name).
The Judge then creates a folder in the DropBox (DB) and names it something to match the campaign (ex.Rise of the Runelords)
Using AlwaysSync (AS from here out - free for home use) the Judge points his Player Campaign file to one way sync to the shared DB folder.
Players use the AS to Point their Player Campaign Folder in the D20PRO folder (D20pro--->Player--->Campaigns--->alphanumeric folder name).
Now, in AS, we tell that instance to sync when files in the Shared DB have a change.
The Judge just keeps pushing the maps to his Player and the other players will automatically have the maps in their game folders for the next session.

This saves time on map loading for us in a big way. Once it is set up, you will forget what loading times at game play are like.

Yes, I do this as well, but it's a kludge. It would be nice if it was just built in.
