Recent Spam Activity

Hi all

We have had a significant uptick in comment spam lately, seems to be happening to a lot of boards since the new year. Luckily, we're small and focused enough to not attract too much attention so far. Countermeasures like CAPTCHA are getting broken by the bots more often unfortunately. I've tried to change up our registration settings and such to cut down on the spam without putting any undue burden on legitimate new members or deleting legitimate lurker accounts. As always, if you do notice an inappropriate post please use the report button to ping the admins so we can get things cleaned up as quickly as possible.

On a related note, while tweaking the back-end settings I decided to add in some post count based ranks to recognized our more active and helpful members.
