Can you make Active Effects (either ones created directly on a token, or via a spell/ability) that last multiple rounds deal continuous damage/healing/etc?

If someone is supposed to take recurring fire damage each round, if I start an active effect, nothing currently happens as each round progresses.

Are you sure you have the effect set correctly? under the HP tab adding a fire type 'diced' 1d6+0 or the like. then under that setting the duration to 'rounds' and setting the number of rounds?

Yep, that's exactly how I do it. Then, when I 'set' the effect, the token takes the first round of damage right away, and every subsequent round, nothing happens. At the end of the duration, the effect expires. I can duplicate this every time.

All rolled values for HP modification are done instantly, once the effect triggers. If you want Damage Over Time, we use the "Fast Healing/DOT" entry. For rolled values for damage over time, it would be best to make a note in the description and notes section or have the player keep track of it like in an at-the-table type game.
