When I set a weapon in the features to Magic and Slashing (or Bludgeoning/Piercing) and the creature has resist Slashing does it half the damage because of the Slashing component or does the added magic tag override?

Hmm, I just used a Warhammer on a monster I made resistant to bludgeoning and it inflicted normal damage. I then made it immune to slashing and used a longsword and it did normal damage...I guess I'll post this on the "It be broke" forum.
